A statue of a man holds a reusable bag with vibrant colorsThe Town of Dillon is excited to announce that its new reusable bags are now available for pickup at Town Hall. These bags are part of the Town’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, encouraging residents and visitors to reduce single-use waste and support a greener future.

The reusable bags are designed to be both functional and visually engaging, featuring custom artwork by Silverthorne artist Nancy Branca Rohwer, the bags reflect the spirit and natural beauty of Dillon. By offering these bags, the Town aims to make sustainable choices more accessible while fostering community pride.

“We’re proud to provide a simple, everyday tool that helps reduce waste and supports our broader sustainability goals,” said Eric Nicholds, Parks, Recreation, Arts, Amphitheater, and Cemetery Committee member, “It’s also incredibly important to highlight local art from a local artist—supporting not only our sustainability initiatives, but our public art goals as well. These bags are not only practical, but also a celebration of local creativity.”

Residents and visitors are invited to stop by Town Hall during regular business hours to pick up their reusable bags (while supplies last.) The bags will also be available this summer at the Dillon Farmers Market and at the Dillon Marina.

About the Artist

The artwork featured on the Dillon reusable bags was created by Nancy Branca Rohwer, a talented local artist based in nearby Silverthorne, Colorado. Nancy’s work is inspired by the landscapes, wildlife, and vibrant character of the Rocky Mountain region. Through her art, she captures the essence of mountain life and the deep connection between community and environment.

Nancy’s distinctive style brings a unique and meaningful touch to the bags, making them not only a sustainable choice but also a piece of local art that residents and visitors can enjoy and share.
