Position Available
The Town of Dillon is accepting applications from interested persons to fill one (1) at-large vacancy on the town's Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) which makes recommendations to council regarding all aspects of the Town's commercial development, with a goal to enhance its economic health now and into the future.
Individuals who have business interests in the Town are preferred; residency is not required. The term is three (3) years.
EDAC Meets on the 2nd Wednesdays of the month at 5:30 p.m. at Dillon Town Hall.
A brief interview with the Town Council will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 during the Work Session, beginning at 4:30p.m. EDAC may interview applicants at their July 8,2026 meeting.

The Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Dillon Town Council regarding all aspects of the Town’s commercial development, with a goal to enhance the Town’s economic health now and into the future. EDAC meets the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m.

The duties and responsibilities of the Economic Development Advisory Committee are:
- To act as an advisory body to the Town Council on economic development planning, policies, and actions.
- To establish goals that reflect the Town’s mission as it relates to business development and retention.
- To determine the Town’s areas of potential and continuing competitive advantage.
- To forge a supportive partnership with local organizations that are involved in economic development.
- To recommend marketing strategies that will showcase the Town and support its long-term commercial vitality.
The Committee shall consist of seven (7) at-large persons appointed by the Town Council, one member of the Town Council, and one member of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Initially, four (4) members shall be appointed for terms of three (3) years and three (3) members shall be appointed for terms of two (2) years. The Town Council shall make subsequent appointments for three (3) years. At a minimum, a majority of the at-large membership shall consist of individuals who have business interests in the Town. Members of the committee are not required to be residents of the Town of Dillon.
