2026 Municipal Election will be on April 7th 2026
The regular 2026 Municipal Election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Voters located within Dillon town limits will elect one Mayor and three Town Council members during this election. Residents who have resided within Dillon town limits for one year and are 18 years of age or older are eligible to run for Town Council in Dillon. This excludes unincorporated areas near Dillon such as, but not limited to, Dillon Valley, Summerwood and Summit Cove. Council-Manager Government
The Charter provides for the Council-Manager form of government. The policy-making and legislative powers are vested in a Town Council composed of six members, plus the Mayor. The Council members and Mayor shall be elected from the Town at large every four (4) years, and the terms shall be staggered so as to permit a continuity of government. The Town Manager shall be the chief administrative official of the Town and shall be appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the Town Council.
Town Council Meetings
Town Council Meetings in 2026 will regularly be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Dillon Town Hall. *April 2026 meetings will be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays*. Council meetings are open to the public.

Public Comment
Public comments may be submitted by 1 p.m. on the day of a Town Council meeting by filling out the public comment form. Community members may also make public comments in person at the start of a Town Council meeting.

Town Attorney
The Council shall appoint a Town Attorney to serve at the pleasure of the Council. The appointment or removal of the Town Attorney shall require the affirmative vote of a majority of the entire Council. The Town Attorney shall be at all times while serving as Town Attorney an attorney at law admitted to practice in Colorado. The Town Attorney shall serve as the general counsel of the Town, shall advise the Council, the Town Manager and other Town officials in matters relating to their official powers and duties, and shall perform such other duties as may be designated by the Council. The Council shall determine whether the position is full time or part time.
